"The Macy Project"

Basic beginners yoga
About a month ago Kyle and I watched a program on ESPN that really got me thinking.  If you watched IU beat UK (go hoosiers!) on December 10th, then you may have caught the documentary immediately following about Todd Marinovich, "The Marinovich Project".  Kyle had heard of the story of course being the sports guru that he is.  I, on the other hand, was in awe of what this man's life had consisted of.  From birth he was raised as a human robot as his father built him into a star football player.  Todd's life was controlled in every aspect from what he ate to how much he trained.  It was amazing how dedicated he was at such a young age.  Unfortunately, his life took a downward spiral when he broke away from his father's plan and started experiencing life.

Proper breathing technique, check!
As active (and of course advanced) as Macy is, I figured we could take a similar idea and make her into a star athlete.  She is always trying to do sit-ups, leg lifts, and yoga moves on her own so this should be easy with no pressure.  Okay, the two projects do not compare but it is worth a shot!  Our plan would be a little more relaxed though.  She can work out when she wants to (I will just dress her up in cute little workout outfits) and eat normal and enjoyable baby foods.  This way it only affects her in positive ways.  We may be bias but we think she is well on her way to athletic scholarship status...Go Macy!

Stay focused!
Being only 6 months old, she loses focus quickly.  Bright shoe strings, tags on toys, and, let's be honest, pretty much anything distracts her from her training.   Luckily we have eighteen years before she starts college!  We will keep updated on her progress until then!
